Book Review! THE CEO’S CHRISTMAS MANNY by: Angela McCallister

So I am *slightly* behind on posting a Christmas book review, but the holidays are a whirlwind so I am going to assume you will all forgive me and read this review anyway because this is a story you NEED to know about.

Nic is kind of everything I love in a man. He is decisive, bright, controlled… and in desperate need of someone to lighten him up. Let’s not forget the fact he is moderately broken (my absolutely favorite type of man) thanks to aloof and manipulative parents, but those two are TRULY not worth even discussing because it will just get me too mad. And there is plenty to gush about with Nic and Sasha.

Oh Sasha. He is so much of me it hurts. He takes on the responsibility of the world and leaves nothing for himself. He is happiest when those around him are happy. And he doesn’t at all feel like displaying anything other than a fun, playful demeanor is allowed. In his mind it isn’t okay to show the burdens and pain he is dealing with and, instead, he simply stuffs it all down and manages on his own. Even when it sends him to bed with a migraine.

Yeah, basically Nic and Sasha were meant to fulfill each other’s needs.

But, of course, just when things get so good my heart aches from the happiness of it all… the rug is pulled out from under your feet. I have to admit that when Sasha was brought to his knees by the pain and loss, I was right there with him. Nic had a deeeeeeeeeep pit to claw his way out of in my eyes.

Now, the question is… did he manage to do it?

My Review:

I have to admit I had a moment’s hesitation when I began Leather and Lies because it isn’t in my preferred style (I’m a third person, past tense kind of girl), but I quickly abandoned my comfort zone was I was drug into the absolutely thrilled romantic suspense of the story line. I can easily see why Leather and Lies has already been an award willing novel.

Skye is precious. I will just say that right off the bat and if you read you may not understand why I am saying that, but I simply adore her more hands off, introverted personality. Something I very much identify with and love seeing in characters.

Wes is… well. Wes. I can’t think of any way to describe him without divulging several key points, but if you have a special affinity for questionable heroes and bikers this man fits that bill to a T.

As the story unfolds there are about a million twists and turns as well as heart pounding moments that make you wonder if Skye will manage to survive the path she is on to find her cousin, much less achieve the happily ever after I so desperately crave in my books.

No spoilers though, I will leave you with the same worries and questions I had while reading. Luckily for you Leather and Lies is available now to buy, so you don’t have to hang in suspense for too long. Grab your copy today!

Book Review! HER MEN by: Sam Crescent

So excited to review HER MEN by one of my fellow Evernight authors Sam Crescent.

First, I have to say I have a HUGE diversity in the kinds of romance I read. I will gobble up nearly any subgenre of romance from a sweet contemporary to a tawdry BDSM menage and everything in between. I am basically the Lady Liberty of the romance world. Give me your swoony, sexy, or historic smut, yearning for… well, you get the picture. Basically I love love in any and every form. M/F, M/M, F/F, MMMMMMMMF (yeah, no seriously, that exists) you name it.

And I say all of that because HER MEN falls into a unique category. Often a menage story that features two men and one woman doesn’t have a lot of interaction between the men. HER MEN is not like that at all. There are some amazingly delicious scenes between Drake and James in addition to the scorching hot sex between James and Abby and Abby and Drake. Plus their threesome scenes are positively delightful.

Aside from the steamy sexy times, there are dark forces working behind the scenes to threaten the union the three have managed to find.

This was a quick and easy read that drew me in. James was a little hard to like at first, but Drake definitely has enough charm to cover them both. Abby finds her voice and strength through the love of two good men… but the question is, will the three of them be able to stand against those sent on destroying them?

Find out for yourself by grabbing this hot little read! Just the right dose of sexy times AND happy times when you need a fast fix.
