Today, we get to dive into book 3, Endeavor. Unlike books 1 & 2 of the series, book 3 doesn’t focus on Cathwolf and Roarke, but instead actually follows side characters we’ve previously met.
Let me take this moment to say one of my personal readerly squeeeee moments comes when reading a series and you get to see previous starring characters come back in future books and I was sooooo happy to see some familiar faces pop up in Endeavor.
Once upon a time, Quillan (our male lead) actually fought to become Cathwulf’s mate. Naturally, this was a fail for the Q man because clearly Cathwulf was destined to be Roake’s Alpha Female. So now he has had to fall into a very different role.
One that has Oria front and center.
Now, our girl Oria finds herself inexplicably drawn to Quillan and Quillan seemingly can’t stay away. He tracks Oria’s every move in a way that manages to be NOT creepy… but makes you wonder why.
And the why is that Oria has a past that is threatening the tenuous happiness she’s found in her present. A past that is now threatening that thread of serenity. And Quillan is determined to keep her safe from the demons that haunt her.
