Jill and Marc have shared a bond since childhood. Drawn together by broken family ties, they grew in friendship, then in love. Now married, they face the struggle of keeping their kismet relationship kindled while often apart. Three kids only add to the pressure. Follow their story from the start as they continue to find their way back to each other, heal family connections, and build a life for their children they never dreamed possible.
Beneath the Lights takes you on a sweet journey of a childhood friendship turned lifelong love, and all the beauty and brokenness that comes along with it. A quick trip of a novella, but a soulful story full of heart.
Yes, lovelies, I am back in full force with not one but TWO book reviews for you. Just like Twin Bay Christmas: Finally Family, Beneath the Lights is a holiday novella that warms the heart. If you’re looking for quick, easy reads both of these novellas are excellent choices. Each will take less than an hour, but leave you with the right dose of happy.
Beneath the Lights has a special place in my heart because the exceptionally gifted Ms. Moore weaves a tale that starts in the present day marriage of Marc & Jill, but then pops back to their childhood so we can walk their path to find each other together.
Not only is this a well loved friends-to-lovers trope, it also shows the power of young love to endure. Not only does Beneath the Lights chronicle the adorable relationship between Marc & Jill, but also navigates some messy family drama that will be all too real and relatable for many readers. It provides a unique facet to this heartwarming tale that could easily jump from the written pages to the TV screen.
More times than I’ll actually admit I went from tearing up to ugly crying while reading Beneath the Lights. Although this is a short, fast read it doesn’t skimp on the emotion. And, as always, Ms. Moore delivers all the feels in spades.
I can’t possibly recommend this sweet and emotional holiday read. Grab your copy today on Amazon it read for free with Kindle Unlimited.
